Andrea Maria Mandelli is the fourth generation at the helm of Enrico Mandelli Spa. It was his great-grandfather Henry who started the business in the early 1900s as a leather merchant on the banks of the Adda River.
The son Paolo joined his father from 1925 and through his creative and entrepreneurial mind took the company into the world of clothing.
In fact, Paolo devoted his entire life to expanding the company together with his wife Ermelinda by producing outerwear with increasingly fine and modern materials. Paul was the real vanguard for the Mandelli lineage: a great mind; in fact, development at the national level was immediate
In 1960, Paolo's son, Enrico, also joined the company, thus beginning the third generation characterized by the development of craftsmanship in garment making.
Thanks to Henry, the Company in those years reached a very high level of production. The quality in making increasingly sought-after sportswear with fine materials and noble fibers, such as vicuna and cashmere, combined with the finest leather led the company to such success that in later years Enrico Mandelli Spa was considered the best outerwear manufacturer in Italy.
